Why My Creative Tech Profile Works Better in the US Than in France
In today’s global digital economy, not all profiles are viewed equally — especially when they break the mold.
As a creative designer with deep roots in AI, Web3, and product design, I’ve noticed a striking difference between how my profile is perceived in France versus the United States.
A “Weird” Profile in France, A Valuable Asset in the US
In France, I’m often seen as… unconventional.
I’ve never held a traditional full-time job.
No long-term corporate contract (CDI).
No 5-year career ladder in one company.
No “logical progression” from junior to senior.
Instead, I’m a self-taught, multi-skilled designer and tech entrepreneur who has been crafting products, visuals, websites, and experiences for over a decade. I thrive at the intersection of tech, design, and innovation.
In France, that often translates to:
“Your profile is interesting, but it’s hard to place.”
Or worse:
“It’s too risky.”
Meanwhile, in the US, the response is completely different.
In the US, My Hybrid Profile Is a Strength
I’ve worked with Symbiotic, an American startup in AI and cybersecurity. They trusted me to design and build their Webflow website from scratch — with full autonomy.
I’ve collaborated with several Web3 startups based in the US. They didn’t blink at my background. They saw the value, fast.
There’s a culture of entrepreneurship and trust in the US that empowers people like me to deliver results — without needing to justify every line of their resume.
Why the Difference?
-
In France, the job market still favors stability, hierarchy, and predefined paths.
-
In the US, there’s more appetite for risk, innovation, and hybrid profiles.
-
France often lags behind when it comes to adopting new technologies like AI and Web3.
-
The US tends to move faster, and that speed opens doors for agile, forward-thinking creatives.
The Gap Is Cultural — and It’s Real
What I offer:
-
✦ 12+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI, and creative direction
-
✦ Hands-on skills in AI, Web3, and no-code tools like Webflow
-
✦ A proven ability to work across industries, from startups to luxury brands
-
✦ An entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action
In France, this still feels like a « weird » combo.
In the US, it’s exactly what many teams are looking for.
What This Means for Companies
If you’re a startup, studio, or tech company looking for:
-
A creative designer who understands code and AI
-
A Web3 expert who can speak both design and dev
-
A freelancer who brings structure, speed, and vision
Then don’t wait for the old system to approve people like me.
🚀 Talent today doesn’t fit in boxes. It creates new ones.
Final Thoughts
I’m proud of my profile — even if it doesn’t tick the “traditional” boxes.
And if you’re looking to collaborate with someone who’s not afraid to challenge the status quo, let’s talk.
