Context

Born in the vibrant heart of 1920s Paris, Charles Jourdan emerged as an iconic name in French luxury footwear. Once a prominent beacon of fashion and a symbol of a bygone era, the brand witnessed several twists and turns over the years, eventually fading from the contemporary fashion scene. However, under the stewardship of the Royer Group, Charles Jourdan embarked on a renaissance journey, seeking to reposition itself in the digital age by launching its very own website.

Mission

Leading the design endeavor at my agency, UNI, I was entrusted with the strategic task of translating Charles Jourdan’s illustrious history and quintessential Parisian femininity into a digital experience. The project demanded an in-depth immersion into the brand’s ethos, which involved regular consultations with the brand’s director and head of marketing. Guided by user-centric principles, I meticulously crafted the site’s ergonomics, enhancing user pathways for a seamless digital navigation. The UI design, characterized by its dynamic elements, further augmented the brand’s narrative, bringing the legacy of Charles Jourdan to life on the digital platform.
